Wendy Larson

Wendy Larson, founder and director of the Silver City Strings, has performed in hundreds of weddings in the Roaring Fork Valley. She is responsible for the booking and coordination of every performance and also performs as cellist in the ensembles.

Wendy studied cello at the University of Northern Colorado where she earned her BA in Music Education. She received an MA in Humanities at Truman State University.

She has performed with the Elgin Symphony, the Pueblo Symphony, the Arapahoe Philharmonic, the Littleton Symphony, the Greeley Philharmonic, the Loveland Symphony, and the Longmont Symphony.

She has also performed with Theatre Aspen, Aspen Community Theatre, Aspen Choral Society, the Snowmass Chapel, John Denver, Judy Collins, Bernadette Peters, and Mannheim Steamroller.

Wendy is the retired Artistic Director and Conductor for Symphony in the Valley, a community orchestra in the Roaring Fork Valley.

She is the founder of the High Country Sinfonia; a chamber orchestra made up of professional and semi-professional musicians.

 

Wendy has a team of conservatory trained professional musicians with years of experience.
